If you have been following my previous blog posts, you’ll know that I’ve talked about posture on more than one occasion. That’s because how we hold ourselves most of the time, is how our body develops. It starts innocently with a habit. Whether it’s the overuse of smartphones, being stuck at a desk all day, or hobbies like reading, crafts, or sports like cycling. Eventually this habit turns into actual muscle weakness. It certainly feels like poor posture is becoming an epidemic. That is why it is so important to do what you can to fix it, before it has lingering, long-term effects, or becomes a permanent issue. The good news is that there are some posture exercises that are super basic and take no time at all, and can do a world of good!
In this video, I show you another simple, but super effective exercise to help strengthen the back of your shoulders. It is sometimes referred to as the Scarecrow, but no matter what you call it, the exercise only takes a couple minutes out of your day, and if you stick with it, you will see some pretty noticeable changes.
Please watch and listen through to the end to get some great tips for what NOT to do and why you shouldn’t be discouraged if you can’t get it right away.
